Places to go for the Fourth of July in the Denver Metro area

We have put together a list of places to go and things to do to celebrate this Independence Day.

July 2nd

• Join the Four Mile Historic Park on July 2nd from 5-10pm and enjoy live music by That Damn Sasquatch, face painting, food trucks and frontier-style games. You will also see historic demonstrations and a demonstration by the 1st Colorado Infantry. 
• Glendale's annual firework display will begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 PM, from Creekside Park. Find a place to watch one of Denver's oldest and largest firework shows!
• Catch a ball game between the Colorado Rockies and the Houston Astros on July 2nd or 3rd. There will be a firework show following the game. You can purchase tickets here. 

July 3rd

• Head over to Clement Park in Littleton from 5:00-10:00 PM for food, a beer and wine garden, free music and entertainment including a hula instruction and a kid zone area featuring a ticketed bounce house and climbing walls. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 PM rain or shine at the annual Red, White and You event. 
• Adam's County Stars and Stripes will take place from 4-11 p.m. at Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton. Enjoy fun family activities, live music, food vendors, a kid's fun zone, and fireworks set to music at 9:30 PM. 
• Don't miss out on Colorado's largest free community fireworks show at Civic Center Park featuring live music, food trucks, and beer and wine gardens. The Independence Eve gates open at 4:00 PM, the Colorado Symphony will perform around 8:30 PM, and the light show and the firework finale will begin at 9:30 PM. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for a picnic and the show!

July 4th

• Stapleton's Annual Pancake Breakfast and Parade will begin at 9am at the Fountain Pavilion in Central Park. Pancakes, sausage, and juice will be served at 9 am ($5 for adults, $3 for children, or $12 for 2 adults and 2 children) followed by an old-fashioned parade at 10:30am. 
• After enjoying some pancakes in Stapleton, head over to any one of the six pools in Stapleton for DJ's at the Pool from 12pm-4pm. Have some fun in the sun at the pool accompanied by music from DJ's. 
• The Park Hill 4th of July Parade will begin at 1:30 PM on 23rd and Dexter Street and end at approximately 3:00 PM. The parade will march for about a mile to Krameria Street and include more than 50 groups including floats, marching bands, costumed characters, classic cars and more! Stay afterwards at the 2200 block of Kearney Street for a street fair with food, music and activities.
• Washington Park will be holding their Annual 4th of July Parade near the Boathouse from 11am-1pm. Festivities include a kid's decorated bike parade, patriotic music from the Denver Municipal Band's Brass Quintet, food and drinks and free giveaways from local businesses!
• The Highlands will be hosting their 12th annual 4th of July parade which includes family-friendly fun and games, live music, food, and more! If you are trying to get an early start to the celebration, head down to 32nd Street and Clay Street in the Highlands at 8am for a bike decorating party. The parade will then begin at 9:30 am and activities will begin at 10 am at Hirshorn Park (the end destination of the parade) for music, food, and games. FREE hot dogs will be provided by Leever's Locavore. Enjoy a 200-ft long ice cream sundae for all provided by Little Man's Ice Cream at 11:30 am before the event ends at noon.
